Debut of Georgia Nonprofit NEWS

Georgia Center for Nonprofit released their debut edition of Georgia Nonprofit NEWS. Included in the monthly NEWS are member and partner updates.

Together Georgia member, CHRIS 180 received coverage in this debut edition:

CHRIS 180 launched the public phase of its three-year Turning Point capital campaign in the fourth quarter of 2017. Almost $11 million had been raised to that point; early contributors include The Kendeda Fund, Georgia-Pacific, and SunTrust Foundation.

Partnering with Atlanta Public Schools, the Chick-fil-A Foundation helped fund construction of a new full-service health clinic on Atlanta's Westside, opened in November, to serve all Hollis Innovation Academy students and their families. Operating in partnership with CHRIS 180, it will serve 400 patients in its first year and eventually serve nearly 1,000 patients annually.
