The Annie E. Casey Foundation released its latest national KIDS COUNT®Data Book this morning. Georgia ranks 39th in the nation for overall child and family well-being—the first time our state has ranked higher than 40th since 2012.
Though Georgia’s children and families still face challenges, the investments Georgia has made in its children and families over the past decade are poised to pay dividends.
Here is a link to our media release. I encourage you to share the news with your own network. If you need help locating additional data, please contact Rebecca Rice at rebecca@gafcp.org or Bill Valladares at william@gafcp.org
Georgia Family Connection exists because of the national KIDS COUNT ranking, so it is core to our mission to share our state’s ranking every year. Thank you, on behalf of all children and families in our state, for all you do. There are clearly some promising trends for the state and our most vulnerable Georgians are counting on us.
