Thank You, Together Georgia Day participants!

Thank you to TG members who participated in the 2018 Together Georgia Day at the Capitol.  We were well represented, and the day afforded ample opportunity to greet many of our legislators as they were in session on Tuesday. Together Georgia members were also recognized in the House chamber.

WEEK IN BRIEF - 2018 legislative session

January 30, 2018
- The House read and adopted HR 979, A RESOLUTION recognizing January 30, 2018, as Together Georgia Day at the state capitol and commending Together Georgia; and for other purposes.

January 31, 2018
- The House Committee Favorably Reported on HB 683 SUB Supplemental appropriations; State Fiscal Year July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018

February 1, 2018
- The Senate read and referred SB 375 "Keep Faith in Adoption and Foster Care Act" to the Judiciary Committee
- The House Agreed Senate Amend or Sub HB 159 Adoption Bill

Georgia legislators were not in session today--Monday will begin the 15th day of the 40-day 2018 session.

Also of interest at the national level is the Justice Department Conference on Human Trafficking, which you can watch live on C-SPAN2 this morning.  (Sidenote: in the introductions, Attorney General, Jeff Sessions recognized Dr. Jordan Greenbaum as one of the participants. Many of you remember her excellent presentation on toxic stress at our 2016 Executive Retreat.)
