Today is Georgia Gives Day

As of 5:30 p.m., the 2018 GAgives campaign has raised $2,042,378!

The #GivingTuesday global giving movement was founded by the team at the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact. The movement, built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities, is in all 50 states and more than 150 countries. The Georgia Center for Nonprofits organized the first Georgia Gives Day in 2012. The GAgives campaign raises awareness and funds to help increase capacity for Georgia’s nonprofit organizations.  Since its inception, GAGives has raised $21 MILLION for Georgia nonprofits.

This year, of special interest to Together Georgia Provider Alliance is the Gas South Fuel for Good Challenge, which is open to nonprofits registered on GAgives.org with significant programming focused on Children in Need. The five selected qualifying nonprofits with the most dollars raised between Nov. 1-27 will be awarded:
$3,000 for 1st place
$2,000 for 2nd place
$1,250 for 3rd place
$750 for 4th place
$500 for 5th place

We are pleased to see some of our Together Georgia member agencies on the leaderboard at https://www.gagives.org/c/GGD. We hope you will join this 24-hour statewide marathon of giving to support of one of these well-deserving organizations.

Every act of generosity counts.  You can search for and DONATE to a nonprofit by name, keyword, county, or zip code—or search by category at  https://www.gagives.org/c/GGD/categoryList/

Let's see what we can do before the clock strikes midnight!
