Family First Transition Act letter of support
from Children's Defense Fund
The Children’s Defense Fund is organizing a letter in support of the Family First Transition Act, and we hope that you will sign on by Friday
As you may know, a bipartisan group of legislators from the House and Senate introduced the Family First Transition Act, which works to ease the fiscal and statutory burdens of implementation, so that more states can take full advantage of the historic opportunities in Family First. The Family First Transition Act represents a major bipartisan achievement and it needs strong support to be passed into law. Sign on today.

We will keep the letter open through Friday, November 22. After that, we will be sending the letter with all signatures to the senators and representatives who introduced the bill.
For those who don’t know the Family First Transition Act, it has three main provisions.
- A phase-in of the 50% well-supported requirement for prevention services reimbursement
- $500 million in one-time transition funding to help states and tribes implement Family First
- Short-term funding certainty for states with expiring waivers
Here is the text of the bill, if that is helpful: https://gallery.mailchimp.com/3404efd2e55731e8483aea1aa/files/7a47fb83-19b4-43f3-b290-89c22f8cf34f/FFTA_Final.pdf
Please join us in supporting the Family First Transition Act, so more children can have the opportunity to grow up in a strong, safe and stable family.
P.S. We want as many organizations as possible to show their support. Please share this with your networks.
P.P.S. I apologize if you’ve already received this message from other channels. We are trying to reach as many groups as possible to support the Family First Transition Act.
