Prevention Services Clearinghouse

Together Georgia previously posted an announcement in June, 2019:  The Prevention Services Clearinghouse website has launched with program and service ratings. As you continue to track and navigate information about the Family First Prevention Services Act, please note there are separate clearinghouse sites, one of which is the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare. "The Prevention Services Clearinghouse uses unique standards and procedures developed in accordance with the statutory requirements detailed in the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) of 2018."  - https://preventionservices.abtsites.com/about/faq In addition to the list of 12 approved programs and services, the Prevention Services Clearinghouse has developed a working list of the next programs and services planned for review — services for review began on a rolling basis in the summer of 2019:

Trauma 101: Understanding the Impact of Trauma on Children
Thursday, September 26, 2019 10am – 2pm

Program Description:This course will provide participants with foundational knowledge about child trauma and child traumatic stress. Three types of child trauma are defined. The course focuses on the impact of complex trauma on behavior and development, and helps participants identify strategies for working with children who have experienced trauma.

 Effective Supervision in Telemental Health

 Program Description: This three-hour supervisory Telemental Health conference will cover the key knowledge and competencies for supervisors working in the era of Telemental Health. The program will address the complexities and challenges that face supervisors in addressing distance counseling practice and distance supervisory practice.
