New Family Dependency Treatment Court

Sarah F. Campbell of the Newnan Times Herald reported on a new Family Dependency Treatment Court, which was initiated by Coweta County Juvenile Court and Coweta's Accountability Courts. Campbell reported that, "The court helps the families get the services they need, such as job training, help with housing, family counseling, individual counseling, trauma therapy and play therapy for the children." She further noted, "There will be parenting classes, budgeting classes and anger management, as well as self care and stress management."

There are other family courts in Georgia, but purportedly the Family Dependency Treatment Court will be the first to provide everything a parent needs to do under one roof.
