Prepare for DOL OT Rule implementation  effective December 1, 2016

Please be aware, providers need to continue to prepare for Department of Labor Overtime Rule implementation  effective December 1, 2016.

The Department of Labor sent out a ruling on revised overtime that will go into effect on Dec. 1, 2016.  The new rule will raise the salary threshold indicating eligibility for overtime. The US House passed a bill delaying implementation and the Senate drew up a companion bill, however,  it is expected that even if the Senate were to pass it during the Lame Duck Session, the President would veto it.

After following up on recent messages, our current understanding of the DOL OT Revision is that it likely will still go into effect on Dec. 1, 2016.
