We are pleased to announce Mike Angstadt as the recipient of the 2016 Consuelo Foundation Peer Reviewer Award. In his 26 years of extraordinary service as a Team Leader and Peer Reviewer, Mike continues to be an invaluable asset to COA. An outstanding mentor, Mike’s impressive background and breadth of experience have been an impactful and consistent resource for new COA volunteers and staff. His facilitative and welcoming leadership style and personality continues to motivate colleagues in recognizing the value of accreditation and its relationship to best practices and supporting positive outcomes for both organizations and service recipients.
Mike is the Executive Director of Twin Cedars Youth and Family Services, Inc. (TCYFS), a position he has held for over 20 years. TCYFS, a private, not for profit organization with main administrative offices in LaGrange, GA offers a continuum of over 25 services from prevention through residential treatment with programs in Columbus, LaGrange, and Macon, Georgia, as well as Auburn and Opelika, Alabama. In addition, he established and served as Executive Director of the F.D. Roosevelt Outdoor Therapeutic Program for Georgia’s then-Department of Human Resources.
Patti J. Lyons, former President and CEO and current board member of Consuelo Foundation will present this award at COA’s upcoming conference on July 18.
