Foster Caregiver Retreat

Project F.R.E.E.

From  UGA College of Family and Consumer Sciences, Human Development & Family Science Department, Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education Training

Foster Caregiver retreat – just a few spots left!

Thank you all for spreading the word about this exciting event for foster caregiver couples! We have had a great response and have filled almost all of our spots! We still have a few openings available for foster caregiver couples who do not require childcare. All of our childcare spaces are filled, but if you know of a foster caregiver couple who may be interested in registering, please pass this information along!

Registration and more information about this event is available at: http://www.fcs.uga.edu/hmre/projectfree-fostercaregivers-retreat

Please help us spread the word!

We have begun receiving referrals for our fall and summer series programs. Thank you to those who have helped spread the word! To help us reach as many families as possible, please send our updates and announcements to other staff members within your agency, as well as to colleagues working with other community agencies. We also encourage you to share their contact information with us so that we can add them to our listserv. This will allow them receive Project F.R.E.E. updates and announcements directly.

If you would like to refer a family to Project F.R.E.E., please visit our website (www.ugaprojectfree.com), click on “For Community Partners” then click on “Refer a Family.” Families can also self-refer by clicking on either “For Couples” (if in an unmarried or married couple relationship) or “For Single Parents.” A list of our upcoming, scheduled classes is provided on each page along with a link to complete an online interest form. Don’t see a series scheduled in your county? By receiving referrals we can plan accordingly to schedule future programs in your county.

Please continue to visit our project website to learn more about the project and new developments! www.ugaprojectfree.com

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Dr. Ted Futris (tfutris@uga.edu), Sherena Small (sherena@uga.edu), or the program coordinator serving your county (http://www.fcs.uga.edu/hmre/projectfree-contact)
