Helping Young People Heal from Trauma
Announcing…. A Contest!
The direct care trauma work group which is comprised of peers from DFCS and private providers invites you to share your expertise in helping young people heal from trauma. We are compiling a set of interventions to address trauma that work in group homes and foster homes and who better to help with that than YOU! Together Georgia has agreed to run this contest during the upcoming conference (10/25-10/27). We want to know some of the dependable and/or creative ways you have addressed trauma symptoms/behaviors so others can benefit. Your name and contact information are optional but all who identify themselves will be eligible to receive a $25 gift card. Winner will be chosen randomly from the cards (and emails for non-conference participants) submitted. Please drop your cards off at the MAAC booth. Not attending the conference? Send your thoughts to scorbin@maac4kids. Enter as many times as you’d like but make sure each card shares a different intervention. Pick up more cards at the MAAC booth and let the healing begin!
